Constitution, trustees, and governance
The constitution is the document the whole vehicle runs on, and the trustees are the people the Commissioner holds to account. We write the constitution so its purposes stay inside what qualifies, structure the board so decisions are real, and keep the records that prove the giving is governed.
Writing the constitution
A registered charity must have purposes that are wholly charitable, and the constitution is where those purposes live. We draft the objects clause so it covers what you intend to fund without drifting outside what qualifies, and we set the rules for how the vehicle runs: who decides, what needs a meeting, what needs a resolution. The document is written once and read every time the vehicle spends money, so it needs to survive real giving rather than look clean on the day it is filed.
Trustees and accountability
Trustees are the people the Commissioner deals with when there is a question about the vehicle. We help you put a board together, define what each trustee can and cannot do, and record decisions as they happen. The obligation runs both ways: the vehicle must be able to show where money came from and where it went. We keep the governance records that make that possible, so a later question is answered from a file rather than from memory.
